🎬 Cine Notes: Sincere Reflections from a Casual Moviegoer
People often say, “Life is like a movie.”
But I’ve always felt—movies are far more exciting than life.
After all, few of us will ever experience love, family bonds, fear, sci-fi adventures, or crime thrillers all in one lifetime.
Yet on screen, these stories intertwine with intensity, completeness, and emotional resonance that real life rarely offers.
This isn’t a film critic’s column, nor a classroom for cinematic theory.
It’s simply a collection of personal reflections after watching a film—
from someone born in the 1960s, who once worked in Hong Kong’s film industry during the vibrant 1980s.
What I write may not be professional,
but every note is heartfelt.
Sometimes it’s a connection with a character,
sometimes a visual that takes my breath away,
and sometimes just a line of dialogue that lingers in my mind.
To me, movies are an extension of life,
a trigger for memory,
and a way to converse with the world.
